When To Follow Your Intuition
By Lanie Pambid

Intuition is some sort of knowledge inside of you. It’s like what we always hear people say, “Intuition is knowing without reasoning”. It’s a fact wherein sometimes you felt that you shouldn’t go to that place and you followed that intuition only to know that there had been an accident in that area where you were supposed to go. Thanks to intuition because it helped save you.

Have you ever been in a situation like this? I, for one, have been one of those people who follow their intuitions most of the time. It’s a feeling of knowing something without even experiencing anything, yet you know in your heart that you know something about it. Thus, leading to the said intuition that helps you live your life.

Intuition is not an opinion or a rational kind of thinking. Inside your head, you just know, or there is this gut feeling that you should not continue doing whatever it is or you may just go on choose another or pick another. It is either because something bad might happen or it just so happened that there is something that you don’t know, yet inside your mind and in your heart you know. It’s quite difficult to explain to people especially when some would refer to you as an irrational-thinker. Those people who knew without them knowing how they knew it, would later realize that he followed his intuition.

Now, when should you follow you intuition? My answer for that would be, all the time. I have always followed my intuition ever since I had one. One incident wherein I followed my intuition was earlier today, when I was going to the office, I was supposed to ride the first bus that passed by me, but instead I rode the next one, only to find out that the first bus had a flat tire half way to my destination. I was so thankful that I didn’t ride that bus because it sould have took a lot of my time if I had to transfer to another bus. You see, sometimes it is not bad to follow your intuition. In fact, Intuition may even help you live a better life.

There was also an instance wherein I was supposed to order a tuna sandwich for lunch at the building’s cafeteria, but the intuition or the voice inside of my head told me not to buy the sandwich so I settled for spaghetti instead. After a few minutes, the person next to me who bought the tuna sandwich was shouting at the waitress because the sandwich he ate had an insect in it. Whew! Was I flabbergasted with that or what?

I could go on and on sharing my experiences with following my intuitions and on how it has helped me in such a way I save time or whenever I get away with accidents or stuff like that.

Intuitions are not that bad. I am glad to say that it has helped me a lot in one way or another. Most of the time it’s good because the outcomes are all positive. Why don’t you try following your intuition sometime. See where it goes!
